Across The Borders is a new partnership event between Gathered In Song, Bridgend County Borough Council and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council’s Arts and Cultural Services departments. Bringing some of the biggest names in international americana and alt. folk to South Wales, we’re extremely proud of the line-up we’ve secured.
The event is supported by the BCBC Strategic Tourism Events Fund and Capitol Region Tourism.
We strongly encourage people to buy a weekend ticket for just £30, which allows entry to both shows. The weekend ticket also allows anyone who books accommodation in Porthcawl (guest house or camping) to take advantage of a FREE bus service, courtesy of Gwyn Jones and Son Ltd, which will depart from The Muni and drop you at your accommodation following Saturday’s show.
Please note, this is a limited availability service which must be booked in advance by emailing gatheredinsong@yahoo.co.uk. Any queries about this service can also be sent to this email address.
Accommodation
For recommended accommodation please visit the following sites;
We recommend guest houses on Esplanade Avenue, or close by, as this is very close to the Pavilion and will therefore be the main bus drop off point:
See the website links above for more detailed information on these accommodation providers.
Drop-offs can also be arranged in advance for alternative hotels/guesthouses and
the Broadawell and Happy Valley campsites.
Please contact us via email before September 1st if you require the free bus service. We cannot guarantee availabilty after this date.
